This fabulous antique Victorian Silver Suffragette dropper brooch is Circa 1900.

Emmeline Pankhurst was the leader of the British Suffragette movement in the 19th century and through her efforts won the right for women to vote.

Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking!

The wonderful brooch is adorned with sparkling bright Paste Stones in pink, green and white with three fancy Paste droppers.

Paste is a transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. White Pastes sparkle just like Diamonds, captivating the allure of natures beauty.

The brooch is all set in a fancy engraved Silver gallery and decorated with colourful green Enamel.

This brooch is a wonderful piece of history and looks fabulous when worn, a real talking piece.
